We had a great turn out on this chilly Saturday afternoon! The new co-directors Emma Green-Beach and Amandine Hall presented four power points on shellfish culture, kelp culture, shell recycling and our phragmites project. Shirley Mayhew, who spoke about farming oysters in the 1950s in Tisbury Great pond, was the star of the afternoon. Her old photos and poem about oysters delighted the crowd. People asked many questions during the grower's panel and then trickled down to the party to enjoy oysters and other shellfish delicacies served during the sold out event.
